personality
Brief Personality:
Cora is a hard worker, in elementary school she rarely got anything even close to average grades and had been 30 lbs over weight. Her mom never cared about that though, she was too busy worrying about herself. In grade 10 Cora began to realize that she needed to work for everything she got, she lost the weight and studied her butt off, she ended her senior year with an 84% average. Still, the abandonment she felt as a young girl makes her self conscience and any negative criticism can send her into a downward spiral.
Likes:
Being alone. Her old mare. Her teddy bear. Praise. Love. Writing. Biology. Purple. Reading. Taking pictures.
Dislikes:
Large Crowds. Criticism. War. Speaking in public. Super girly-girls. Posers. Being a nail-biter.
Strengths:
Hard working. Focused. Organized. Problem solver.
Weaknesses:
Fear. Easily belittled.
Hobbies:
Taking pictures of her mare. Talking to her mare. Studying. Reading. Writing.

Other:
Cora arrived for the first time at Woodmoor Acres. It wasn't really the first time, if you wanted to get technical she had been here 19 years ago, still in the womb at that time. Her mom had attended this University all those years ago. She had always planned for her daughter to come here too. And, as always, mom got what she wanted. Cora had worked hard in her final years of highschool to get the best marks she could. She did everything in her power and pulled off a bunch of 80s, her average was the best it had ever been. Applying for University Cora sent out a dozen applications to schools all over Ontario; Guelph, Western, Laurier, Waterloo, Brock, Trent; as well as a few in the states. As a joke she sent one to Harvard and another to Brown. Of course she didn't get into those, they had been the first to reply. As time went by more and more replies came in. They all rang the same message "Your a failure with no money, you expect us to let you in?" The best she had gotten was wait-listed at Brock. "walk and talk you can get into Brock." That's what they said atleast. Lies. Depression had started tokick in. Cora couldn't take all the rejection. But then the last letter arrived. It was from WU. She didn't even want to go to Woodmoor. Horses were the reason her dad was dead, it was because of her mom's obssesion with horses that they were next to dirt poor, and her brother was the one with the natural riding ability while she had never had a grace about her, especially while riding. But, she had applied after her mom had whined enough. Woodmoor had been less than a "safety" school to her. It was just a "Parent-pleaser." But Cora was desperate now, she was out of options. So, when that letter said "Congratulations!" Cora knew that she would need to reply that, yes, she would show up for the Spring semester.
Now, her only hope was that she would get some good grades and apply to transfer to the U of Guelph after some of their first year students droppped out.

Note: In the end Cora will find something that will keep her tied to this place, she will stay for the full four years.
